The 2005 line of Ride snowboards is better than ever. Several new Ride snowboard models have been introduced, and further improvements have been made to existing models.
The Ride Cue is a new board designed for the beginner to intermediate rider. The Ride Control is the next step up and is looking better than ever. Both boards are affordable with solid construction.
If you are a park or pipe dog, Ride has some models that are right up your alley. Check out the freestyle line of boards from Ride including the Ride Kink, Ride DH or Ride Theory.
If you are looking for a good all around board, this year’s line of freeride snowboards from Ride will be right up your alley. Check out the Ride Havoc, Ride Timeless, Ride Decade, Ride LeBlanc Pro, Ride Prophet, Ride No. 4 and the Ride Business.
For those with big feet, the Ride Fleetwood, Ride Nation, Ride Yukon and Ride Decade Wide are just the ticket. These wider snowboards are specifically designed to prevent your size 10 and up feet from causing toe and heel drag when you turn.
Finally, Ride has continued to evolve their line of boards designed for both women and kids. For women, check out the Ride Vista, Ride Kashmir, Ride Solace and Ride Lowride Girls. For kids, check out the Ride Menace and the Ride Lowride.

Beginner tips for snowboarding Always keep your hands in a fist when learning to snowboard. When you fall backwards punch the snow and sit on your butt. A broken wrist is the most common beginner injury when learning to snowboard. Learning to push (skate) on your snowboard is very important because you need this skill to get to and from the lift. Force yourself to push (skate) from behind your heel edge, taking short steps, as this will make your snowboard glide much better.
For starters, regular means your left foot is forward and goofy means your right foot is forward. Ask yourself how you would run and slide on ice? If you know which foot you would slide forward with, chances are this is the same foot you would snowboard forward with. Another method is to push a person forward from behind, and whichever foot they step forward with is their front foot when they are snowboarding. Finally, you can push a person backwards from the chest, and whichever foot they step back with is their back foot when they are snowboarding.
